Heartfelt testimonials from students and teachers
Heartfelt testimonials from students and teachers—expressing appreciation and gratitude for the enriching experience at the National Integration Camp. A few selected voices are featured in this newsletter.
Good evening,
The 14th National Integration Camp, hosted by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Tirupati Kendra, Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, was wonderful. All the programmes were well organised. Competitions like the Quiz and Turn-a-Coat provided an excellent platform for enriching knowledge and boosting confidence. The trekking activity deserves special appreciation, as it truly reflected the spirit of the camp. Hygiene and sanitation were well maintained, and the restrooms were kept clean.
The climate was challenging, and adjusting to the local food took some time since we were not used to it. However, these were minor concerns compared to the overall experience.
The camp gave us a valuable opportunity to interact with people from various states, cultural backgrounds, and linguistic groups. I return with many unforgettable and beautiful memories.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Principal and our teachers, Ms. Soumya Menon and Ms. Malini K.N., for giving me this great opportunity.

I feel privileged to share my experience of attending the 5-day *NIC camp held at both Bhavan’s Tirupati and Ashramam. It was truly a “Mini India” on one campus.
The Ashramam was extremely well-maintained. Washrooms, The serene atmosphere of Tirupati hills, combined with neat surroundings, made our stay peaceful.
From registration to departure, Sri Seshu sir responsibility about the arrangements were excellent. 24x7 drinking water, first-aid, and teacher volunteers in every dorm ensured we felt safe. Bus facility for local visits was on time.
Each day was a perfect blend of learning and fun
Yoga /.meditation and Turn a coat.
Cultural exchange – we taught Kalankari art
Trek to nearby hill Valedictory & cultural show.
The activities helped us shed stage fear and respect other states’ traditions.
Simple, satvik, and tasty food was served on time. Breakfast: Idli/Upma + milk. Lunch & Dinner: Rice, sambar, curries, curd. Special mention. RO water was available 24x7. No student faced any health issues. Maybe 1 North Indian item can be added once for variety.
This was the best part of NIC. I shared a room with friends from Punjab, Kerala, and Maharashtra. We exchanged languages, food habits, and folk songs. In just 5 days, we became a family. Our students now have friends in 6 states and we are still in touch. The camp truly achieved “National Integration” in spirit.
The camp taught me adjustment, teamwork, and respect for all cultures. Staying away from home for 5 days made us more responsible. I returned with memories, certificates, and friendships for life.
I sincerely thank our Principal Sir/Madam and Bhavan’s management for giving me this golden opportunity. I also thank the Tirupati Ashramam staff, Tirupathi Principal, teachers and our escort teacher for her love and care.
Bhavans Vidyapuri, Palakol
Thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Sexual Assault Awareness Month
Every year, Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) is observed in April to raise public awareness, educate communities, and prevent sexual violence through campaigns, events, and advocacy. First observed in April 2001 in the United States, the movement has grown stronger over time, reaffirming the commitment to a safer future. Its official colour is teal, symbolizing trust, strength, and persistence. SAAM also highlights the importance of supporting survivors through events such as the SAAM Day of Action and Denim Day.
Sexual assault is widespread, but impact can be reduced by spreading awareness, supporting survivors, and challenging harmful mindsets. If you or someone you know has been affected, reach out to trusted people, family, friends, or professionals and know that helplines and NGOs exist to help. It is never the survivor’s fault, and it has nothing to do with clothing or behaviour. You are not “disgusting” or “dirty”; you are worthy of respect and care. Keep speaking up and keep spreading awareness. We need your courage.
